Lets Build Community Together

Okay* Coffee actually started back in 2018 with me (Billy) and Ashley and a little coffee cart rolling around Melbourne. We didn’t call it Okay* Coffee yet, but that’s where this whole journey started. Then life got a little crazy. In 2020, we were in the middle of adopting our two daughters and opening Poor Billy’s Barber Shop. Oh, and the world had a whole thing going on too. So the cart got packed away. But we always knew coffee wasn’t done with us. Over the years, we passed on a lot of coffee opportunities waiting for the one that actually felt right. Turns out, it wasn’t the opportunity or the timing we were waiting for, it was the community to build it with. And when we finally realized that, we knew exactly who we wanted beside us: our siblings, Ivy, Matt, and Andy. Now the five of us are starting something freaking cool. Same love for hospitality, community, and coffee that started with the cart. Just a new name, Okay* Coffee and one other pretty big difference: this time, we have a permanent home in Downtown Melbourne. Great specialty coffee. Dopamine decor. Electric hospitality. No pretentious coffee shop energy. We partnered with Valor Coffee out of Atlanta as our roaster because we want the coffee to be seriously great, but we didn’t want roasting it ourselves to take our focus away from what matters most to us, YOU, our community. Oh and the name? Okay* Coffee is an understatement on purpose. Because what we’re about to open is anything more than just okay.

We are SO close. Like, possibly weeks away from opening the doors to Okay* Coffee. So we wanted to give you a chance to be part of this thing before we officially open and get some pretty cool merch and offers while you're at it. And yes, we're going to be real: starting a coffee shop is unbelievably expensive. We're opening either way. At this point, we're buttoning up the last pieces, finishing decor, and getting everything ready to finally welcome you in. But every donation helps take a little stress off the pocketbook, gets you some Okay* Coffee merch, and most importantly, lets you be part of what's happening here. We've heard you. Melbourne wants great coffee. But even more than that, it wants great community. So let's freaking make it happen. Give a little. Give a lot. Or just help us spread the word.
